A project to promote the European Youth Centres of the Council of Europe as standard-setting instruments and examples of good practice for youth policy, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe welcomed the initiative for an initial pilot phase of three years, starting in 2010.
Every NGO interested in applying to the European Youth Foundation for a grant must first of all register online . Once registered, the NGO may submit applications for grants, following the Application process, and according to the deadlines in place. The projects must fit the current priorities of the Council of Europe’s youth sector.
In case the application is awarded a grant, the EYF secretariat will be in touch with the applicant organisation for the next steps. They include signing a grant acceptance form, and sending the grant instalments. If a project is awarded, 80% of the grant awarded will be transferred approximately 10 weeks before the start of the project.
