Okt. 2017 · The lady who played Daphne in Frasier Jane Leeves said she was asked to audition for Benny Hill when she left drama school and go to his house to do the audition and she said there was nothing overly sexual about him at all and that they read the sketches together and she got on the show as a Hills Angel.
23. Apr. 2014 · It wasn't far from the Thames studio. He'd be sat in the back bar, minding his own business. The back bar was full of old Thames Studio props, including a stuffed camel. The kings head they have loads of photos on the wall of Benny when he was a regular in there.

22. Okt. 2017 · I watched a documentary about him in about 2012 and I think it was Sue Upton who said that nothing sexual happened with Benny Hill and the women after the show. Then again, it could be a case of keep what happened after the show finished to yourself. As far as I know, none of the other women have come forward to claim this happened with them.
28. Dez. 2006 · No, honestly, the breakfast sketch is a direct rip from a Benny Hill show from the 50s/60s. There's no 'unlikely' about it. I didn't intend to offend anybody who was a fan of M&W, and nor is it supposed to be about BH being better than M&W, but the fact is that the breakfast sketch is known as a M&W sketch.
16. Sept. 2020 · Benny Hill is on YouTube. That’s where you can watch lots of old archived comedies, dramas and lots more. But sadly both BBC and ITV wiped lots of there old recordings made for TV, as the tapes that both BBC and ITV used to record programmes during the 1960’s and 1970’s where expensive to buy.
18. Aug. 2017 · 18/08/17 - 16:18 #28. Personally I don't think Benny Hill gets the credit he deserves, largely because of his lazy, repetitive, unfunny and pretty offensive latter years. But in his early years on television he was the complete opposite, a real innovator, and a very underrated wordsmith who, at his best, could rival the likes of Ronnie Barker.

Girls would be summoned to Hill's bedroom for casting, confessed Cheryl Gilham, a pillowy Page-Three stunner who'd accepted an invitation to "please Uncle Benny".
22. Okt. 2017 · The Benny Hill show was of its time and a lot of people would consider offensive today and simply wouldn't be made now. But remember it was hugely popular in its day. We've no idea what Benny Hill was like privately behind the scenes, but he's long dead. She should have complained while he was still alive.
