Bob Jones, Sr (October 30, 1883—January 16, 1968) was an American, Christian, Fundamentalist, evangelist, broadcaster, and founder of Bob Jones University. He was born the eleventh of twelve children to William and Georgia Jones . In 1905, Jones married Bernice Sheffield, who got tuberculosis and died within ten months of their marriage.
