Der fast unmittelbar südöstlich an Palma angrenzende Ort Can Pastilla ist ein Hotspot des mallorquinischen Massentourismus. Von hier aus erstreckt sich der Playa de Palma als über vier Kilometer langer, breiter Sandstrand bis nach El Arenal. Dieser Strand ist in 15 Strandabschnitte, sogenannte Balnearios aufgeteilt.

Can Pastilla ist ein Stadtteil von Palma auf Mallorca mit 5.390 Einwohnern (2011) [1] und liegt an der Nordostseite der Badia de Palma (Bucht von Palma), nordwestlich des Strandes Platja de Palma. Unmittelbar nördlich von Can Pastilla befindet sich das Gelände des Flughafens Son Sant Joan.
Bis heute ist Can Pastilla, dessen touristisch reizvolle Lage man bereits in der Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts erkannte, bei Pauschalreisenden beliebt. Die Siedlung grenzt direkt an den bekannten Platja de Palma, einen sechs Kilometer langen Strand an der Südküste Mallorcas.
Playa Ca’n Pastilla liegt mitten in der Bucht von Bahia de Palma. Es bildet das erste Stück des fünf Kilometer langen Sandstrandes, der von Ca’n Pastilla nach S’Arenal führt. Bei Ca’n Pastilla ist der Strand am breitesten und der ganze Strand ist mit feinstem hellem Sand bedeckt.
