Starting with a modest business venture in 1932, Harrah's legacy grew from a small bingo parlor in Venice, California, into a veritable casino empire that is still admired and emulated today.
Villa Harrah is the legendary Lake Tahoe estate built in 1963 by Harrah’s Lake Tahoe Hotel and Casino founder William F. Harrah. According to the locals, Bill Harrah had the absolute choice where to build on the lake since he was one of the first to do so.
In Reno in the 1930s, William Harrah found a congenial climate for his business talents, establishing bingo parlors, bars, and finally a gambling casino.
