The Honeys (originally the Rovell Sisters) were an American girl group, formed in Los Angeles in 1958, that initially comprised sisters Marilyn, Diane, and Barbara Rovell. Barbara was later replaced by their cousin, Ginger Blake.

Diane Rovell. American Spring (known as simply Spring before 1972) was an American pop music duo formed in Los Angeles, California. It consisted of sisters Marilyn Wilson and Diane Rovell, who had earlier been members of girl group the Honeys. [1]

Geschichte. Die Honeys wurden 1961 in Los Angeles gegründet. Die Gruppe setzt sich aus den Schwestern Barbara, Marilyn und Diane Rovell zusammen und nannte sich zunächst „The Rovell Sisters“. Als Barbara ausstieg, wurde sie von Sandra Glantz, einer Cousine der Rovells, ersetzt, welche den Künstlernamen Ginger Blake annahm.

Diane Rovell is one of the people that contributed to the book. Pages 249 and 280, and apparently at Fifty sides of the Beach Boys : the songs that tell their story at page 108 is talked. Stebbins's book also talks about My Diane saying that the song was talking about his affair with the sister

Marilyn Rovell Wilson. Barbara, Marilyn, and Diane Rovelli formed a group known as the Rovell Sisters in 1961. They played some amateur shows and small clubs, but things really took off when Barbara left and Sandra Glantz, better known as Ginger Blake, took over, and the group became the Honeys.
