Who We Are. Ealing Abbey is home to a community of monks who live in service of God under the Rule of St Benedict. The monastery has been on its present site since 1897, having been founded from St Gregory’s Abbey, which was then at Downside in Somerset.

Yet, among the roofs of suburban West London the Abbey Church of St Benedict’s, Ealing, still raises her stately head.
We are a vibrant Roman Catholic Parish in West London, Ealing. The Parish is cared for and served by the Benedictine Monastery of Ealing Abbey. Our Community is large and is truly international with people from all over the world.
