Elliott Gould (born August 29, 1938) is an American actor. He began acting in Hollywood films during the 1960s, and has remained prolific ever since. Some of his most notable films include M*A*S*H and Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, for which he received an Oscar nomination. In recent years, he has starred as Reuben Tishkoff in Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, and Ocean's Thirteen.
Leben. Elliott Gould wuchs in einer jüdischen Familie in Brooklyn auf. Bereits im Kindesalter spielte er an Vaudeville -Bühnen und im Fernsehen. Er machte seinen Schulabschluss an der Professional Children’s School in Manhattan. Nach seiner Zeit am College gab er 1956 sein Debüt am Broadway in dem Musical Rumple.

Elliott Gould spielt seine erste Kinorolle 1965 als Taubstummer in William Dieterles "Heirate mich, Gauner" mit Ginger Rogers und Ray Milland. 1968 erhält er die Hauptrolle des Billy Minsky in William Friedkins Gangsterkomödie "Die Nacht, als Minsky aufflog". Bereits in seinem nächsten Film wird er zum Star.
