Mini Bio. Emily Jollands (Gervers) was born in a town called Lower Hutt, near Wellington, New Zealand, in June 1981. Her parents did a fair amount of traveling, and had also spent some time in Brazil since leaving university. Emily only lived there until she was two and a half, when the family moved back to England.
