Carlucci served as chairman of the Carlyle Group from 1992 to 2003 and chairman emeritus until 2005. He had business interests in the following companies: Ashland Global Holdings, General Dynamics, Westinghouse, Neurogen, CB Commercial Real Estate, Nortel, BDM International, Quaker Oats, and Kaman.

4. Juni 2018 · In 1989, Carlucci joined the Carlyle Group, an investment partnership in Washington, D.C., and served as its chairman from 1993 to 2003. For RAND, Carlucci co-chaired Transition 2001, a bipartisan panel of more than 50 American leaders in foreign and defense policy.
After leaving the Pentagon, Carlucci joined the Carlyle Group, a Washington investment group, as vice president and managing director. He later became chairman. His wife, Marcia, said he believed strongly in the Bible verse from Luke 12:48, which she recited as, “For unto whom so ever much is given, of him shall be much required.”
