It works in more than 4,200 projects in 150 countries and French overseas departments, in areas such as peace, climate change, health, education and social cohesion. It follows the 17 UN sustainable development goals and the Paris Agreement on climate.

Its action focuses on the key development sectors: infrastructure, mainly for renewable energies, agribusiness, financial institutions, health and education.
The Act implements the President of the Republic’s commitment to increase France’s official development assistance (ODA) to 0.55% of the gross national income (GNI) by 2022, compared to 0.44% today. France will strive to dedicate 0.7% of GNI to ODA by 2025.
