12. Juni 2023 · The Gerald R Ford class is a fleet of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers being developed by the US navy for the CVN-21 Aircraft Carrier Program. The class features an enhanced flight deck, a redesigned island, and a new nuclear power plant. The first ship, CVN 78, was delivered in 2017 and the second, CVN 79, is expected to be delivered in 2025. The third and fourth ships, Enterprise and Doris Miller, are under construction.
