The Winds of Winter is the forthcoming sixth novel in the epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire by American writer George R. R. Martin. The novel is expected to be over 1,500 pages in length. It has been delayed several times, such that Martin has refrained from making hard estimates for the novel's final release date.
George Raymond Richard Martin (* 20. September 1948 in Bayonne , New Jersey ) ist ein US-amerikanischer Science-Fiction -, Fantasy - und Horror - Schriftsteller , Drehbuchautor und Produzent. Sein bekanntestes Werk ist die Fantasy-Saga Das Lied von Eis und Feuer , von der er zwischen 1996 und 2011 bislang fünf Bände veröffentlichte; zwei weitere Bände sind derzeit in Planung.
