2. Mai 2024 · For more than 50 years, LUM has worked to give back the hope, the future, and self-respect to low-income people in the Greater Lafayette area. LUM takes an active role in trying to change social injustices and improve the quality of life for the poor of Indiana.
The LUM Emergency Shelter provides short-term, overnight shelter, meals, and showers in a safe and caring environment to individuals experiencing homelessness. The LUM Emergency Shelter may accommodate up to 48 adults each night of the year.
Chronically homeless as defined by Housing and Urban Development (HUD) (homeless for the last 12 months and/or 4 episodes of homelessness in the last 3 years) Currently sleeping in an emergency shelter or a location not meant for human habitation; Single persons; Program Benefits. Must have a PASS to enter. Passes are available: Monday – Friday, 8 to 11 a.m. at the LUM Office (420 N 4th Street, Lafayette)
