The Seymour family have been part of English nobility since the 11th Century and have been the Dukes of Somerset since 1547. While the current British Royal Family descend from Mary Boleyn, their noble family has been extinct since 1637. The Seymour Family were Normans, but they weren't as wealthy until the Tudor Age.
