Hugh Leslie Gibb (15 January 1916 – 6 March 1992) was an English drummer, bandleader and the father of musicians Barry, Robin, Maurice and Andy Gibb. Barry, Robin and Maurice would go on to form the Bee Gees , one of the most successful musical groups of all time, while Andy would have several hits as a solo performer.

März 1925 in London als Tochter eines Busfahrers und einer ehemaligen Schullehrerin geboren. 1955 heiratete sie Hugh Gibb, einen Bandleader, der vier Jahre zuvor aus Schottland nach England ausgewandert war. Sie hatten vier Söhne zusammen – Barry, Maurice, Robin und Andy Gibb.
Barry Gibb (* 1946) und die Zwillingsbrüder Robin (1949–2012) und Maurice (1949–2003) wurden als Söhne von Hugh und Barbara Gibb auf der Isle of Man geboren und verbrachten dort ihre Kindheit. Ihre Mutter war Sängerin und ihr Vater leitete ein kleines Orchester. [2]
