Die IFRS sind eine Sammlung von Regeln für die Rechnungslegung von Wirtschaftsunternehmen. Mit IFRS werden in der deutschen Fassung sowohl die einzelnen, seit 2003 neu erstellten Standards (z. B. IFRS 3 – Unternehmenszusammenschlüsse) als auch die Gesamtheit aller Standards (IFRS und IAS) und Interpretationen (SIC und IFRIC) bezeichnet.
