Iko Iko [ˈaɪkoʊ ˈaɪkoʊ] ist ein Lied aus dem Jahr 1953 mit dem ursprünglichen Titel Chock-A-Mo, das bei der Erstveröffentlichung irrtümlich unter dem Titel Jock-A-Mo erschien. Die bekannte Melodie stammt aus der Feder des lebenslang in New Orleans beheimateten Musikers James „Sugar Boy“ Crawford und wurde von dem ebenfalls aus Louisiana stammenden Lloyd Price arrangiert.
"Iko Iko" (/ ˈ aɪ k oʊ ˈ aɪ k oʊ /) is a much-covered New Orleans song that tells of a parade collision between two tribes of Mardi Gras Indians and the traditional confrontation. The song, under the original title " Jock-A-Mo ", was written and released in 1953 as a single by James "Sugar Boy" Crawford and his Cane Cutters but it failed to make the charts.
