Jan. 2007 · I believe Destination Out to be a step above Jackie McLean's other progressive jazz recordings One Step Beyond, with an almost identical line up ( except Roy Haynes replacing Tony Williams on drums) and Let Freedom Ring, where Jackie gets this searing whistle sound from his alto which frankly gives me a headache.
