Kautsky, Karl. Geb. 16. 10. 1854 in Prag; gest. 17. 10. 1938 in Amsterdam. Zu seinen Lebzeiten galt er den einen als »Lehrmeister der Klasse« des Proletariats (Karl Renner), den anderen als bläßlicher »Stubengelehrter« (Leo Trotzki), als Revisionist, gar Renegat des Marxismus.
26. Sept. 2020 · Nach dem Besuch des Gymnasiums in Melk (Österreich) von 1864 bis 1866 studierte Kautsky von 1874 bis 1878 Geschichte, Nationalökonomie, Philosophie und Rechtswissenschaften in Wien. Als Student trat er 1875 der Sozialdemokratischen Partei Österreichs bei und publizierte zahlreiche Artikel für sozialdemokratische Zeitungen.
