März 2019. This place is located at the corner of George IV Bridge and the Lawnmarket. It marks the spot of Edinburgh's last public execution. George Bryce was hung here on 21st June 1864.You can see the plaque on the wall of the building on the Lawnmarket. Three brass plates on the pavement mark the site of the gallows.
