Lying in the Indian Ocean off the southeast coast of Africa, the island of Madagascar has evolved in splendid isolation for more than 80 million years; the result is a unique and startling world full of upside-down trees, stone forests and, of course, lemurs.
From now on, for stays of 15 days or less, passengers to Madagascar no longer have to pay the visa fee. However, a fee of 10 € for border control formalities remains to be paid. The payment of these fees does not concern the Embassy but the airport authorities. The Embassy cannot be held responsible for the reimbursement of these fees.
