27. Juni 2011 · Sussex-based Sixties pop star Mark Wynter stole thousands of hearts when he stormed the charts with the hit singles Venus in Blue Jeans and Go Away Little Girl. But when his singing career began to fade, he cannily reinvented himself as a stage actor and this month he’ll be treading the boards in Brighton in a gripping Agatha Christie revival.
In 2020 Mark celebrated 60 years in Showbusiness. Here, he affectionately recites “Venus In Blue Jeans”. On the 16th December 1969 Mark performed a song entitled “Matelot” from Noel Coward’s musical “Sigh No More”, the event was Coward’s 70th Birthday Party at the Phoenix Theatre in London. From what I know D.L.I.M.C was a solo project by Winter and he stopped putting stuff out under it. He is constantly changing his name for solo projects and rarely has kept one for more than a half a year. CCTV broke up but recently had a reunion show and that is the last I heard of Winter. Hopefully some new music soon tho.

Mark Wynter (born Terence Sidney Lewis; 29 January 1943) is an English actor and former singer, who had four Top 20 singles in the 1960s, including "Venus in Blue Jeans" and "Go Away Little Girl". He enjoyed a lengthy career from 1960 to 1968 as a pop singer and teen idol, but developed later into an actor in film, musicals and plays.
