Ihre polnische Mutter Marzena Wasikowska emigrierte im Alter von zwölf Jahren von Polen nach Australien, unterrichtet im selben Fach und ist als Künstlerin tätig. Wasikowska wuchs mit einer älteren Schwester und einem jüngeren Bruder in Canberras Stadtteil Cook auf.
Marzena Wasikowska is a visual artist. Based in Canberra, Australia, Marzena has maintained a professional practice in portraiture and landscape photography since the mid-1980s. She is currently a PHD candidate in Photography and Media Arts at the Australian National University.
BIOGRAPHY. Marzena is a Polish born artist living and working in Canberra. She has exhibited both in Australia and overseas. In 1998 she produced a body of work about her return to Poland after 24 years living away.
3. Sept. 2021 · Canberra-based photo artist Marzena Wasikowska has built a name for herself over the years. Since 2000, when she completed her Master of Visual Arts at the Australian National University, she has had more than a dozen solo exhibitions (as well as being in numerous group exhibitions).
