Matthew James Hitt (born 30 May 1987) is a Welsh model and musician, known as the lead singer and guitarist for the American-Welsh indie rock band Drowners. As of 2023, he is currently joining the Vaccines as a touring member.
Drowners are an American-Welsh indie rock band formed in New York City in 2011 by Matthew Hitt (lead vocals, guitar), Jack Ridley III (lead guitar), Erik Lee Snyder (bass) and Daniel Jacobs . Their first release was the EP Between Us Girls which appeared in early 2013.
