Es gibt sie auch auf der Nordinsel am Strand von Hokianga zwischen Koutu und Kauwhare Point, dort nennt man sie jedoch Koutu Boulders. In Koutu und in Moeraki findet man sie am Strand und unter der Erdoberfläche nahe der Küste.
