29. Aug. 2016 · THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — Carice van Houten, the Dutch actress who plays the red priestess Melisandre in the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones,” has given birth to a baby boy. Van Houten’s manager in the Netherlands, Janey van Ierland, confirmed the birth of Monte Pearce in Amsterdam, but divulged few other details.
Van Houten is in a relationship with Australian actor Guy Pearce, whom she met on the set of Brimstone. In August 2016, she gave birth to their son, Monte Pearce. [27] She previously dated German actor Sebastian Koch ; they met on the set of the 2006 film Black Book .
