5. Juli 1993 · Neil Young with Booker T & The MGs live at Ahoy in Rotterdam, NL on 7/05/1993. This concert was recorded and broadcast by NPO Radio 2 in the Netherlands. Neil Young went on his European tour in 1993 with Booker T & The MGs as his backup band.
At the concert, Neil Young asked the group to back him on his 1993 world tour, and Booker T. & the M.G.'s toured with Neil Young, backing him on his own compositions. The set list often included a cover of " (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay " (the original recording by Otis Redding had of course featured Booker T. & the M.G.'s).
Potato Hole is a 2009 album by Booker T. Jones, recorded with Drive-By Truckers as the backing band and guitar accompaniment by Neil Young. On January 31, 2010, Potato Hole won the Best Pop Instrumental Album award at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.
