Stormtroopers Advance Under a Gas Attack (German: Sturmtruppe geht unter Gas vor) is an engraving in aquatint by Otto Dix representing German soldiers in combat during the First World War. It is the twelfth in the series of fifty engravings entitled The War, published in 1924.

Worum es geht. In seinen 50 Radierungen »Der Krieg« schildert Otto Dix seine eigenen Erlebnisse in den verlustreichen Grabenkriegen in Frankreich und Flandern, an denen er selbst teilgenommen hatte.

1924 Otto Dix (German, 1891–1969) Printed by O. Felsing Published by Verlag Karl Nierendorf, Berlin. Based on his observations as a German soldier during World War I, Dix made a portfolio of fifty etchings recounting elements of modern warfare like trench combat, poison gas, and air bombing.
