Even then Origin of Evil was legit entertaining. I tend to avoid what I call "lowest common denominator horror" that tries to appeal to too wide an audience and suffers from it, but Origin of Evil was just damn well crafted. I'd totally show it to someone trying to get into horror, it's an excellent intro to horror movie.
