12. März 2024 · 4. The Clash. Rivaling the Ramones as the most iconic punk band in history, the Clash was a British punk band that drew inspiration from ska, reggae, funk music, and rock and roll. Comprised of Mick Jones, Joe Strummer, Paul, Simonon, and Nicky Headon, the Clash began its long and successful music journey in London in 1976.
The band combined the hard rock of Jimi Hendrix, the funky rhythms of James Brown, and the showstopping style of Sly and the Family Stone to fashion an outrageous tribal funk experience. P-Funk emphasized the aesthetics of funk as a means of self-fulfillment; to “give up the funk” meant to achieve transcendence.
We play funky music! Funkzahn spielt die Klassiker – von den Ursprüngen bei James Brown über Maceo Parker bis zu den Red Hot Chili Peppers. Wir spielen aber auch alles, was sonst noch so richtig groovt – Soul, Swing, Jazz und Beatmusik. Natürlich immer mit Horns und fettem Bass. Bis zu 10 Musiker umfasst die Band.
