Picpus Cemetery is a private cemetery in the 12th Arrondissement of Paris, where 1,306 people who were guillotined during the Reign of Terror in 1794 are buried. It also contains the grave of Marquis de Lafayette, a French hero of the American Revolution, and a chapel dedicated to the martyrs of the Terror.
Le cimetière, dont le jardin et ses fosses sont entourés d'un mur, est inscrit au titre des monuments historiques en 1998 4 . Situé au 35, rue de Picpus dans le 12e arrondissement, il ne se visite que l'après-midi, de 14 h à 17 h, lundi au samedi (fermé dimanche et jours fériés).
