I purchased the 2x6 pressure treated lumber to restore the deck of a boat house. The lumber was easy to work with, and did not have a lot of knots in it. Even when screwing the lumber in place, I didn't experience a lot of splitting along the edges, that I experienced with previous materials. I will purchase again.
Pressure treated lumber requires time to dry out before it can be painted. Typically, waiting at least 6 months before painting pressure-treated wood is recommended to ensure it is fully dried and ready to accept paint. However, some experts suggest waiting even longer, up to a year, to ensure the best results.
