The Angels are an Australian rock band that formed in 1974 in Adelaide as the Keystone Angels with Bernard "Doc" Neeson on lead vocals and bass guitar, John Brewster on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, his brother Rick Brewster on lead guitar and backing vocals, and Peter "Charlie" King on drums.

9. Dez. 1977 · The Angels are a truly iconic band for people of my generation. They burst onto the scene in the mid-1970s and went from strength to strength. I first saw them at an all-ages gig at Cabramatta Town Hall in 1978 where they absolutely blew the place apart. Each subsequent time I saw them they had the same drive and strength of performance.
“ Under The Stone ” is classic Angels, the band that Jimmy Barnes said “ changed Australian music forever ”. There are few more glorious sounds in Australian music than the blistering guitar attack of the Brewster brothers.
