カウシルズ （The Cowsills）は、 アメリカ合衆国 の音楽グループ。 概要. 全員が兄弟（ビル、リチャード、ボブ、バリー、ジョン、ポール、末妹のスーザン）と母親のバーバラのカウシル一家によって結成された、「家族バンド」である。 代表曲は「 雨に消えた初恋 （ 英語版 ） 」。 洋楽番組「 ビートポップス 」において、司会の 大橋巨泉 が「 ウシ も知ってるカウシルズ」と 駄洒落 混じりで紹介するのが定番だった [1] 。 1972年に解散、その後小規模な再結集を繰り返した後、1990年から再稼働。 母親のバーバラは1985年に死去、バリー・カウシルが2005年の ハリケーン・カトリーナ の災害によって死去（災害後行方不明の後、遺体発見）した後、ビル・カウシルが病死。
