The Last Hurrah. Hardcover – January 1, 1956. O'Connor's 1956 account of big-city politics, inspired by the career of longtime Boston Mayor James M. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1962 for his novel The Edge of Sadness (1961).
