Tom Harmon is the first Michigan player to win the Heisman and the first of six players to also finish as runner up in the Heisman vote. He was a powerful single-wing tailback who scored 33 touchdowns, kicked two field goals, and threw 16 passes in 1940. He also played basketball and broadcasted sports for CBS, ABC and NBC.
