  1. Advising Guides for Majors & Minors. In addition to the Catalog and the Degree Audit, Advising Guides are a supplemental advising tool for UCCS students. Access undergraduate guides below by college. The requirements a student follows will depend on the student's "catalog year," which is the year students began their study at UCCS.

  2. In general, double majors are approved for students who demonstrate that they can meet all degree requirements without exceeding 200 units of credit from all institutions attended. Students who receive approval for a double major will be allowed to continue their studies at UCSB only through the final quarter listed on their proposal.

  3. Freshman admits may declare the full major at the end of their second year provided that they have completed MCDB 1A,1B, EEMB 2, 3 (2.0 gpa required), MCDB 1AL, EEMB 3L and either MCDB 1BL or EEMB 2L (2.0 gpa required), Chem 1ABC and two other preparatory courses (2.0 gpa required).   4. Students interested in the interdisciplinary Minor in Spatial Studies may seek consultation in the Department of Geography (Ellison 1834 or by email: spatial_adv@geog.ucsb.edu ). Once a student has completed the required courses, the student should contact the minor's academic advisor to confirm completion of the minor.
