Juli 2017 · University of California San Diego ranks first in the nation and second in the world for Mechanical Engineering, according to a new subject area ranking from Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). The new rankings, which are based on five hard-data metrics, place the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering among the top programs in the nation and the world in a wide range of areas.
