Lake Forest, IL - Architect Charles A. Platt of New York designed Villa Turicum as a palatial country estate for Edith Rockefeller McCormick (Harold McCormick). Completed in 1912, the estate’s plan and design encompassed the inspiration of Italian villas and the Renaissance Revival style.
