Worum geht es dabei? Wer ist u/Spez und warum ist er so verhasst bei r/place 2023?
Spez is the CEO of Reddit. His recent decision was to make the use of 3rd party apps for Reddit nearly impossible and people are protesting it. In his recent post he got a lot of awards, and the meme is saying that he gave himself those awards.

Everyone thought she was trying to curtail free speech on reddit (like banning fatpeoplehate). Spez was seen as a savior because during the early days of reddit, the site was portrayed as a free speech haven, demonstrated by its many controversial subreddits (e.g. jailbait, coontown, creepshots).
