WIAS is a Leibniz Institute that conducts project-oriented research in applied mathematics and stochastics. It has seven research groups, a young scientists' group and a Leibniz group, and collaborates with industry and other partners.
Das WIAS ist ein Leibniz-Institut im Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. für projektorientierte Forschungen in Angewandter Analysis und Stochastik. Es untersucht komplexe Problemkreise aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Technik mit interdisziplinärer Modellierung, mathematischer Behandlung und numerischer Simulation.
