Milford Graves (August 20, 1941 – February 12, 2021) was an American jazz drummer, percussionist, Professor Emeritus of Music, researcher/inventor, visual artist/sculptor, gardener/herbalist, and martial artist.
Milford Graves is a free Jazz pioneer, a martial art inventor, and a professor of human heart vibrations. He played with John Coltrane, Amiri Baraka, and Anthony Braxton, and is the subject of a documentary film.
