Béla Anton Leoš Fleck (born July 10, 1958) is an American banjo player. An acclaimed virtuoso, he is an innovative and technically proficient pioneer and ambassador of the banjo, playing music from bluegrass, jazz, classical, rock and various world music genres. [1] .
Er ist der Bandleader der Flecktones (unter anderem mit Victor Wooten ), arbeitete aber zusammen mit Edgar Meyer an einigen Veröffentlichungen auf Sony Classical. Von 1995 bis 2016 gewann Fleck 15 Grammys in so unterschiedlichen Bereichen wie Country, Jazz, Pop, Weltmusik und Crossover-Klassik und wurde weitere 30 Mal nominiert. [1]
