The Exciters waren eine aus den Vereinigten Staaten und Jamaika stammende US-amerikanische Gesangsgruppe, die 1962 in Queens, New York City, gegründet wurde und vor allem durch ihren Hit Tell Him bekannt ist.
The Exciters were an American pop music group of the 1960s. They were originally a girl group, with one male member being added afterwards. At the height of their popularity the group consisted of lead singer Brenda Reid, Herb Rooney, Carolyn Johnson and Lillian Walker.
American Pop/Soul vocal quartet from Jamaica, Queens, NYC. Originally named The Masterettes, active from 1960 till 1974. Best known for their hit single, "Tell Him" which reached #4 on the US charts in January 1963. Members: Brenda Reid, Herbert Rooney, Carolyn "Carol" Johnson, and Lillian Walker.
