Simon John Breckenridge Nicol (born 13 October 1950) is an English guitarist, singer, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He was a founding member of British folk rock group Fairport Convention and is the only founding member still in the band.

Simon rejoined Fairport in 1975 and has been the band's main guitarist and lead singer ever since. However, he has continued to work with other musicians including Dave Swarbrick, Ashley Hutchings, Richard Thompson etc and has toured with, among others, Beverley Craven and Art Garfunkel.
