Roger David Glover (born 30 November 1945) is a Welsh bassist, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as a member of the hard rock bands Deep Purple and Rainbow. As a member of Deep Purple, Glover was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2016.

Roger Glover. (born Brecon, Wales, November 30 1945) The bass player and composer, joined Deep Purple from Episode Six in 1969, then left to become head of A&R at Purple Records. He wrote the ‘The Butterfly Ball’ (1974) concept album which yielded the hit song ‘Love is All’ sung by Ronnie James Dio.
Releases his first solo album The Butterfly Ball (1974); an ambitious musical score for a projected full length cartoon adaption of the book of the same name by Alan Aldridge and William Plomer. Love Is All (1974) the single featuring Ronnie James Dio, is a huge European hit, spending five weeks at #1 in Holland.
