Fritz Gerald McIntyre (2 September 1958 – 23 August 2021) was a British musician, most famous for his tenure as keyboard player in the original line-up of Simply Red.
We are deeply shocked and saddened to recieve the news that pianist extraordinaire and original Simply Red member Fritz McIntyre has passed away. He has left this Earth WAY TOO SOON. Deepest sympathies and condolences to his family and friends.

Fritz McIntyre has died. McIntyre, who played keyboards with Simply Red, was 62. The Birmingham-born musician was part of the original Simply Red lineup, alongside singer Mick Hucknall, guitarist David Fryman, drummer Chris Joyce, bassist Tony Bowers and brass player Tim Kellett.
When Simply Red rode into town with hits such as Holding Back the Years and If You Don’t Know Me by Now, Mick Hucknall, the lead singer, called Fritz McIntyre his “deputy sheriff”.
