Sky "Sunlight" Saxon (born Richard Elvern Marsh; August 20, 1937 – June 25, 2009) was an American rock and roll musician best known as the leader and singer of the 1960s Los Angeles psychedelic garage rock band The Seeds.
The band's classic line-up featured frontman Sky Saxon, guitarist Jan Savage (born Buck Jan Reeder), [7] keyboardist Daryl Hooper and drummer Rick Andridge. In 1968, the band changed their name to Sky Saxon and the Seeds, with Savage and Andridge departing the band. They went on to release a handful of additional singles. [8]

1960s American psychedelic garage rock band from Los Angeles, California (USA), fronted by Sky Saxon. The original, classic line-up was active from 1965 to 1969, but Saxon continued to use the name at least through 1972, using a varying set of backup musicians. He reformed the original Seeds in 1989.
