Trevor Charles Rabin ( / ˈreɪbɪn /; born 13 January 1954) is a South African musician, songwriter, and film composer. Born into a musical family and raised in Johannesburg, Rabin took up the piano and guitar at an early age and became a session musician, playing and producing with a variety of artists.

Born in 1954 in Johannesburg, he is the son of a prominent lawyer Godfrey Rabin, who was also a highly respected violinist. Godfrey performed as first chair for the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra for over a decade.

Gleichzeitig jedoch probten Trevor Rabin, Chris Squire, Tony Kaye und Alan White weiter. Somit existierten zwei Bands, die beide von sich behaupten konnten, Yes zu sein. Es gab einige Auseinandersetzungen vor Gericht hinsichtlich des Bandnamens. Die Namensrechte an Yes lagen allerdings bei Chris Squire, der diese auch nicht hergeben wollte, weshalb das 1989er Album der Musiker um Howe als
